A Journey Designed for Unforgettable Memories
Day 1: Manali: Arrival & Local Exploration
Arrive in Manali and check in to your hotel. Spend the day exploring the town at a relaxed pace. Visit the serene Hadimba Temple, stroll through the lanes of Old Manali, and enjoy time by the river or local markets. Rest well and prepare for the mountain journey ahead. Overnight stay in Manali.
Day 2: Manali – Jispa
After breakfast, begin your drive toward Ladakh. Cross the engineering marvel of the Atal Tunnel and enter the scenic landscapes of Lahaul. The road follows the Chandra River, passing open meadows, waterfalls, and small mountain settlements before reaching Jispa. Enjoy the calm alpine surroundings. Overnight stay in Jispa.
Day 3: Jispa – Leh
Start early for one of the most scenic drives of the journey. Travel across high mountain passes including Baralacha La and Nakee La, and pass through the iconic Gata Loops and wide open plains. The landscape becomes increasingly dramatic as you approach Leh by evening. Check in and rest after the long drive. Overnight stay in Leh.
Day 4: Leh – Local Sightseeing & Rest Day
This day is kept relaxed for acclimatisation and light exploration. Visit Shanti Stupa for panoramic views of the town, followed by Leh Palace. Spend time walking through the local bazaar, exploring cafés, or simply resting at your hotel. Overnight stay in Leh.
Day 5: Leh – Nubra Valley (via Khardung La Pass)
After breakfast, drive across the legendary Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Descend into Nubra Valley, known for its green fields, sand dunes, and mountain backdrop. Visit Diskit Monastery and explore the dunes at Hunder. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.
Day 6: Nubra Valley – Pangong Lake (via Shyok Route)
Begin your journey toward Pangong Lake via the scenic Shyok route. The drive passes remote villages, rocky terrain, and river crossings before opening up to the lake’s vast blue expanse. Spend the evening walking along the lakeshore and watching the colours shift with the light. Overnight stay near Pangong Lake.
Day 7: Pangong Lake – Leh (via Chang La Pass)
Wake up early to witness a magical sunrise over Pangong Lake. After breakfast, drive back to Leh via Chang La Pass, enjoying sweeping views and photo stops along the way. Reach Leh by evening and enjoy your final night in Ladakh at leisure. Overnight stay in Leh.
Day 8: Leh: Departure
After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for your onward journey. Carry home unforgettable memories of high mountain passes, silent valleys, ancient monasteries, and the timeless beauty of Ladakh experienced through an epic road journey.
